Course Description:

Kindergarten math teaches the foundational skills students need to be successful. The course focuses on representing, relating, and operating on whole numbers; describing shapes and space; and using written numerals to represent quantities and solve quantitative problems.

Semester 1

UNIT 1: Count Sequence & Numbers to 5
Module 1: Represent Numbers to 5 with Objects
Module 2: Represent Numbers to 5 with a Written Numeral
Module 3: Matching and Counting Numbers to 5
Module 4: Classify, Count, and Sort Objects
Module 5: Add To and Take From Within 5
Module 6: Put Together and Take Apart Within 5

UNIT 2: Count Sequence & Numbers to 10
Module 7: Represent Numbers 6 to 10 with Objects
Module 8: Represent Numbers 6 to 10 with a Written Numeral
Module 9: Use the Count Sequence to Count to 100
Module 10: Compare Numbers to 10
Module 11: Add To and Take From Within 10
Module 12: Put Together and Take Apart Within 10
Module 13: Ways to Make Numbers to 10
